Project Brief
The sleek and modern Doha Metro stands as a testament to Qatar’s ambitious vision for urban connectivity, serving as a vital rapid transit system for the bustling Doha Metropolitan Area, the heart of Qatar’s vibrant capital city. Spanning an impressive approximate overall length of 76 kilometers (47 miles), this sophisticated network currently encompasses three distinct lines that interweave across the cityscape, providing efficient and comfortable transportation through its 37 strategically located stations. A particularly significant feat of engineering within this expansive project is the Gold Line Underground, a substantial undertaking that involved the intricate construction of ten state-of-the-art underground stations, necessitating the excavation of over 30 kilometers of tunnel beneath the city’s surface.
